Voice, Poetry, and Emotional Intelligence in an Artificial World
In a world filled with noise, speed, and artificial voices, the ability to speak from a real place matters more than ever.
Sounding Human is my work at the intersection of voice acting, poetry, breath awareness, reflection, and emotional intelligence. It is built on a simple belief: the human voice is more than sound. It is identity. It is presence. It is emotion. It is one of the most powerful tools we have to connect with ourselves and with other people.
As an award-winning voice actor and poet, I’ve spent years studying what makes a voice feel real. On the microphone, that means tone, rhythm, vulnerability, breath, and intention. In life, it means learning how to reflect, how to listen, how to name what we feel, and how to communicate with honesty.
Sounding Human brings those ideas into workshops, talks, and youth-centered programs that help people build stronger communication, emotional vocabulary, confidence in self-expression, breath awareness, self-regulation, and a healthier connection to their authentic voice.
This is not about becoming a performer. It is about becoming more present, more honest, more connected, and more human.

Sounding Human for Youth Programs
Sounding Human is an arts-based workshop for schools, community organizations, and youth programs. Participants explore how emotion lives in the voice, how breath affects communication, and how writing can turn inner experience into language.
Through voice acting exercises, emotional wheel work, poetry free-writes, guided reflection, and optional microphone practice, youth learn how to speak with intention, listen with awareness, and express themselves more authentically.
The goal is to create a structured, non-clinical space where young people can strengthen communication, emotional literacy, and self-expression through the art of sounding human.
