The Art of Finding Your Voice

In a world flooded with speed, noise, and artificial language, a real human voice still carries weight.

Sounding Human is the umbrella for my speaking and workshop work. It brings together the disciplines that have shaped my life—voice acting, poetry, breath awareness, reflection, and emotional intelligence—and turns them into experiences that help people reconnect with their own voice.

For more than 20 years, I have studied the voice from the inside out: on the microphone, on the page, and in the room. As an award-winning voice actor and poet, I have worked with brands including Micron, the NBA, the NFL, and T-Mobile, but the deeper thread in the work has always been the same: helping language land with truth, presence, rhythm, and feeling.

I believe the voice is not just a tool for speaking. It is breath. Memory. Rhythm. Revelation. It reveals how we listen, how we feel, what we fear, and what we are ready to say. When people learn how to hear themselves more clearly, name what is real, and speak with intention, something shifts. Communication becomes more grounded. Confidence becomes more honest. Connection becomes possible.

Sounding Human is where my speaking, workshops, and youth work live. Through poetry, microphone work, reflective practice, breath awareness, and emotional intelligence, I teach the art of finding your voice—not as performance alone, but as presence. Not as polish alone, but as truth.

This work is about learning to speak with clarity, listen with depth, regulate with breath, and express yourself with more authenticity

This is not about becoming louder. It is about becoming truer. More present. More connected. More human.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Voice, Poetry, and Emotional Literacy for Young Men

Sounding Human for Youth creates a structured, trauma-aware, non-clinical space where young people can explore how emotion lives in the voice, how writing can give shape to inner experience, and how authentic expression can become a healthier outlet.

Through guided voice exercises, emotional wheel work, breath awareness, free-write poetry, listening practice, and optional sharing, participants learn to name what they feel, hear themselves more clearly, and communicate with more honesty, strength, and respect.

This is not therapy, clinical treatment, or performance training. It is a facilitated communication and self-expression workshop.

No participant is required to share personal trauma, perform publicly, or disclose anything they do not want to disclose.

The work is designed to be safe, respectful, and adaptable to staff guidance and facility rules.

The workshop can be delivered fully unplugged with no recording, no electronics, and no participant materials leaving the room. If a microphone or in-room playback component is ever approved, it would be used only as a learning tool within facility guidelines and only with prior staff permission.
